Designer Profile:
Kathleen Eileen Moray Gray

Kathleen Eileen Moray Gray Bio:
A true pioneer of the Modern Architecture Movement, Gray was an Irish furniture designer and by far the most influential women in her field with her work inspiring both Art Deco and Modernism for years to come. Gray was unique from other female designers of her time in that she did not partner with any other male designers (such as many of the successful husband and wife teams i.e Eames), apprentice in a studio (such as Charlotte Perriand did with Le Corbusier) or study at the same schools. However in years to come recognition began to flow in for her distinctive work and is now rightly regarded as one of the most influential designers of the 20th century!
